Yora’s Poetober II: Why Bother?

  • by

Years ago I used to think about what would time offer me,
Of what person I would be,
A friend I used to be,
A family I will become
It really is just a time bomb now
This bonfire of mine grows dim
As the bomb ticking down
Years after months, seconds before minutes
Before it exploded,
I coughed from ashes flying in front of me
“Bring yourself a firewood to burn it again,” someone said
“Where?” I replied
But alas, I did not hear anything when the explosion occurred,
The bonfire is gone,
The time bomb is blown to dust
Very well
I am now empty
So, why bother?
