[Chapters of Life] – A Bitter Start to A New Page

Chapter 1-3

Chapter 4: A New Page
Now that I’ve grown older, more mature,
I see everything, my past’s allure.
Mistakes, regrets, doubts, all laid to rest,
I’m freed from their grip, their weight off my chest.

A new page awaits, a fresh start to ignite,
A new path to tread, in the softest moonlight.
A new me, a better me, I aim to be,
Casting aside the shadows, finally feeling free.

I apologize to my former shell, so small and frail,
Broken by a world that seemed so cruel and stale.
The past me, unable to love or be loved,
Blind to the warmth in people’s eyes, so shoved.

Those versions of me, yearning for recognition and love,
Now it’s our time, to rise and shine above.
Life’s canvas is blank, that much is true,
But that’s why we’re alive, to give it a hue.

So, I ask my future self, with hope gleaming bright,
Can you pass this pen to our even further, future sight?
To write a new page for ourselves, for all to see,
And maybe, just maybe, cure the void in our heart’s plea.
