More than 800 million people menstruate daily, and a great number of them are still exposed to discrimination, stigma, and social ostracism. However, as cultural attitudes surrounding menstruation start to shift, several countries have taken their first step in assisting menstruators on their periods—first, by eradicating period poverty.
